Good-bye to an old friend

When thinking of business travel, most of us usually conjure up an image of a sleek, black Lincoln Town Car, carrying us to and from the airport or business meeting, in style.

It’s time to for us to come up with another visual: the Town Car is going away.

In case you hadn’t heard, Ford Motor Company, manufacturer of the Town Car, is shutting down the Canadian plant that produces the stylish, albeit blocky, vehicle.  This impending change has left the limousine service world in a state of flux; the Town Car is iconic and represents a very large percentage of most livery companies fleets.

What should replace the Town Car?

Many folks are suggesting the Lincoln MKT. Other says the Mercedes R-Class. Still, other say that – wait for it – hybrids are going to dominate the market, offering a more cramped ride but one that is easier on the environment.

Fellowship Fleet is busy researching new vehicles and would love your opinion: what should replace the Town Car? What vehicle offers stylish, comfortable business travel?

Big Brother is Watching

The City of Chicago is relying more and more on traffic fines for income and on red light cameras to help them catch traffic rule breakers.

Fellowship Fleet is a stickler for safe driving and we support any efforts that will cut down on accidents, especially at the city’s most dangerous intersections. But we also realize these hidden cameras cause a bit of anxiety for drivers.

Remember to follow traffic rules and to drive the speed limit. If you’re traveling by car and don’t want to worry about big brother, consider booking car service. Call Fellowship Fleet today: our drivers have impeccable records and can get you to your destination safely and on time.

Steer Cleer of Construction

Roadway construction is a necessary evil: our bridges and roads must be maintained and repaired so that we can travel safely. The construction process, however, can be a big headache, clogging streets, delaying travel times and turning the shortest trips into marathon journeys. Fellowship Fleet wants to keep you informed so that you arrive to your destination on time and with little to no inconvenience.

As you plan your business or leisure travel in the coming days, keep
these construction sites in mind:

The city’s Revive Wacker Drive project is scheduled to be concluded at
the end of 2012. Until that day, however, your commute could be
severely impacted by the construction.

Construction of the Monroe and Adams intersections and the mid-block
between them is underway.

Monroe is closed from Canal to Franklin
Adams is closed from Canal to Franklin
Access to Wacker ramps is eliminated

Bridge deck repairs continue on the structure carrying I-55 (Stevenson
Expressway) from Prairie Avenue to the Canadian National Railway.

Want to make sure you arrive at your destination on time? Our drivers know the best routes to get you to your destination.

Contact us today to reserve car service.
