As the founding father of the United States, George Washington was the rule maker of our country. Presidents day was on George Washingtons birthday, which was February 22, 1799. And later changed to every third Monday of February. This year it falls on February 18, 2019.
Presidents day became a federal holiday in 1885. Also, Mr. Washington served as the commander an chief and led us to win the revolutionary war.

Although he served two terms from 1789-1797 as President. Shortly after he became ill. Concluding he passed away the night of December 12, 1799.
