Yes, National Greasy Food Day is real.

At least on today of all days you have an excuse. Diet be damned.

Who are you NOT to celebrate a national “holiday”. Tell your trainer to fall back because you’re only paying homage to a nationally recognized day.

Better get it while the getting is good. Today is all about French Fries, Fried Chicken, Pizza (if you’re reading this in Chicago by chance we’re thinking Italian Fiesta…because if you gon do greasy, you might as well go all out!), Bacon Cheeseburgers, and more.

Now personally, around here, we try not to keep the above mentioned items in the house to tempt us, so we’d go to our nearest greasy spoon spot.

But if you decide to cook it yourself at home (we guess! *eyeroll*), and for some random and weird reason, you choose to be somewhat healthy about your greasy foods, here is a list of recommended “healthier” oil options to use:

Agran Oil, Canola Oil, Corn Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Peanut Oil, Pumpkin Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Safflower Oil, Sesame Oil, Soybean Oil, and Sunflower Oil.

We hope that “healthy greasy food” thing works out for you.

Now that we got that out the way, if you decide to do the day right, we suggest maybe going to another side of town. Try a restaurant you’ve never been to before. Look online. See who makes the best cheeseburger in the city.

And that’s where we come in. Give us a call to schedule a ride to another part of town. You just may get “the itis” and don’t feel like driving afterward.

And if you decide to get a doggy bag, make sure they double bag it for you. We can’t have that greasy food staining up the seats of our fine fleet! 😉
