First, in 1962, was the first year the Cincinnati Music Festival began. But, as the Ohio Valley Jazz Festival. Due to the popularity growth of the event, it became the Cincinnati Music Festival. Since the change, it also became a R&B music celebration. On Cincinnati’s riverfront, the festival would be held at Paul Brown’s stadium. Which is home of the Cincinnati Bengals. Over 45,000 people from across the country would attend this annually summer event. Past performers include, Mary J. Blige, Charlie Wilson, Frankie Beverly, Fantasia, Chaka Khan, New Edition, and many more. Also, individuals can enjoy 2 days and nights of music, dining, dancing, shopping, and entertainment.
Furthermore, the music festival will be back this year of 2017. This time around the Cincinnati Music Festival will began with a pre-party. The pre-party will begin on Thursday, July 27, 2017. In addition, Doug E Fresh, Kid Capri, and Rob Bass are featuring artists that will be attending the pre-party. Regular schedule is set to begin on Friday, July 28 – Saturday, July 29.
