The Lakeview Taco Fest as presented by Sam Adams will descend upon Chicago for the seventh year in a row to bring us a festival filled with music, wrestling and of course…tacos! The Southport Corridor is the place to be offering boutiques, bistros and other authentic stores on the strip. This two day weekend will bring an amazing festival with tacos!
One of the best festivals to attend on the Windy City’s food scene is this weekend and it is a don’t miss event. We all have our favorite taco but you may end up with a new one this weekend. Every taste preference will be available. Traditional beef? Yes! Chicken? Yup! Chorizo? You betcha! Steak? Indeed! No matter what your favorite is this is where taco lovers unite. At this Taco fest, one can even get a taste bud tantalizing lobster, tequila lime shrimp, coffee rubbed steak or you can explore a unique mushroom, duck or goat taco to be adventurous.
What goes better with unique tacos than the perfect Sam Adams beer pairing? After enjoying a flavor filled duo, visitors can text their vote for best taco. Can Blue Agave Tequila Bar take first place for “Best Taco” or will D.S. Tequila win again for the second year in a row? We will see!
This festival has so much to offer this year! Kid activities, Mexican wrestling, two music stages, in addition to over a dozen taco vendors from Roscoe to Addison along Southport.
The Sam Adams Taco Fest runs on both Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 from 11am to 10pm. Even though admission is free, the $10 suggested donation goes to the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce and The Friends of Lakeview.
If you have out of town family visiting or simply just need a great idea for a day with friends, the taco fest is a perfect choice. Let us help with your travel for the day. Click here for your reservation.
