Tired of the same routine on Halloween? This is undoubtedly the best way to see Halloween done differently.
Trick or treat on Southport is a different way to do Halloween. Everything you need to know to plan a creatively unique way to spend the holiday with friends and family is right here.
Halloween is the time for kids to be their favorite comic book character or what they want to be when they grow up so all you need is somewhere to go to enjoy the soook-tabular and Trick or Treat on Southport is just the place. This is Halloween done differently.
All the festivities will take place on Monday October 28, from 4 pm-8 pm on Southport between Roscoe and Addison.
This event is amazing and there’s fun for everyone. Every stop along the Southport business district will have goodies for the kids and specials for the adults. Jeni’s ice cream will have a free scoop for the kids, restaurants are offering $5 grab and go meals. Something for the adults: Tuco and Blondies will have grab-and-go kids meals for $5 in addition to that, they will have Halloween-themed margaritas for adults when you dine-in! What a treat!
Oh wait! You can’t celebrate Halloween without pumpkins. There’s also a pumpkin patch where the kids get to choose their pumpkin, paint it and take it home. How amazing and so much fun!
In addition to the fun filled activity along the streets, Crosby’s kitchen will create the scene for Toy Story 4. Excellent photo opportunities for the entire family.
Not only will you have all the activities outdoors, you will also have indoor activities. Sheil Park will be hosting Halloween games in the gym from 4 pm to 6 pm so don’t miss the fun.
Along with all of that, there will be giant Jenga and connect four games. Don’t forget the magnificent photo booth to capture the spooky and fun memories. Each business along Southport in conjunction with the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce has the fun lined up for the entire family.

“‘Tis the season to be Spooky”
Did you know Halloween is on one of the top grossing holidays? Unlike Christmas season revenue at $720 billion, it’s still one of the happiest times of the year.
According to the National Retail Federation’s annual survey, Halloween retail spending was estimated at $8.8 billion in 2018. It’s a little less than 2017’s record of $9.1 billion.
In 2018, a little less than 175 million people spent a record $86.79 per person. That’s a lot of clown makeup and Dracula teeth. It explains where all the money goes for those amazing front yard Halloween displays but I wonder if this includes the electric bill in this amount too.
